Tyler Stallings has been making video art since the late-1980s. He has been making feature-length and short documentary films since 2020. He often collaborates with artist Naida Osline on the films.

ARTISTS HONOR AVI KWA AME

Video of curatorial walk-through by KIM GARRISON, Oct. 25, 2022 for the exhibition "Spirit of the Land: Artists Honor Avi Kwa Ame," on view Sept. 26- Dec. 1, 2022 at the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion, Orange Coast College. This traveling exhibition features selected works by 23 regional, national and Indigenous artists who have chosen to celebrate the country around Spirit Mountain, known as Avi Kwa Ame (Ah-VEE kwa-meh). It celebrates a recent bill introduced in Congress, that would permanently protect 443,000 acres of the area as Nevada’s fourth National Monument, to be named Avi Kwa Ame, the Mojave name for Spirit Mountain and the surrounding landscape in Southern Nevada.
