The imagery in the drawings are based on still lives of torn, crumbled, and stapled photographs that were shot by the artist originally, an approach to composition that the artist began in 2005. The original photographs are images of the artist, family, friends, and various events during his travels. The reconfigured images are meant to push the boundaries of the body and identity. NOTE: All the works are Untitled, completed in 2006, either graphite or colored pencil on paper and, generally, the images are 7 x 5 inches and the paper is 12 x 9 inches. For the most part, only the drawings are shown below. There are few examples that show the full sheet.
