The Morphologies of Tyler Stallings & Naida Osline
Mt. San Antonio College Art Gallery
December 4, 2007-January 31, 2008
The Morphologies of Tyler Stallings & Naida Osline explores the body in a state of transformation, and its corporeal fragmentation as a metaphor for our times. Stallings, a photorealist painter, and Osline, a photo-based artist, create fantastical subjects that appear likely and probable to a viewer. It is this fine line between the documentary and the imaginary that gives both their bodies of work a sense of the uncanny.
