The imagery in the paintings are based on images from the deinstallation of exhibitions at University of California, Riverside's Sweeney Art Gallery, where I am the director, and on images from displays of historical artifacts at other museums. In this sense, they are a kind of self-portraiture and are an extension of the self-portraits created in 2009. The medium is acrylic on canvas using airbrush and spray paint. All the works are 16 x 20 inches.
